Glad to hear things are going well. Heading to Joplin, now I know there's a truck available because one of my classmates just threw in the towel heard he had a bad first day solo. He was a good guy and I wish him the best. I have to admit a bit of anxiety about the moment I take control of that wheel for the first time alone. I'm sure I'll be alright just have to remember to keep a cool head and always have a plan. From what I hear my friend scraped a trailer trying to get a spot late at night and things went down hill from there
gbramlet: good for you! glad things are going well. sounds like you are half way there. vmaggs: I hope you get a good truck. YOU will be fine. Sorry to hear about your friend. Remember to stick to the basics it all comes down to basics. GOAL GOAL. think it through. Mustang: are you still a finisher?
Me, No, I let the professionals do that. I tip my.hat to them and teachers, I don't have the patients to train. I've been asked many times, but just wouldn't be fair to the other person. That and I'm getting lazy, lol.
The whole gang is checking in this morning. GbrambletMan you are adding up the miles quick! Continued good luck to you my friend and stay safe. Vmaggs Good luck on the truck draw. Like we say when I am flying on one of our C-130s, 6 round tires, 4 engines, and 4 props? We are good to go. So in this case Im pulling for you to have a strong engine, round tires on the new truck, and fair weather!
I've got everything I think I can get to this point. Permit, Tanker and double/triple, Hazmat endorsements and I just renewed my passport which was going to expire here soon. Sent my deposit for school and they have cashed the check. I am just waiting for the time to drive to Crowder. I have even planned my trip with hotels reserved along the way. The weeks are getting short but the honey do list seems to be getting longer. Oh well, I have a great wife that has put up with me deploying around the world for the last 12 years and is more than happy that I will not be doing that any longer. We are both hoping that this new career will be a little less exciting than my current one in some regards.
Hey guys, Thinking about Conway myself but was wondering a couple of things. How are they really about getting you home and do you stay out with your finisher the whole time before you get a chance to run back thru the house? Hey strawberry, if your going to PTEC starting on the 22nd, I will see you there. I am starting at the same time.
Active duty Air Force for 9 years working on F-4E/G's. Then had a 7 Year break in service and now finishing my 20 in the Air Guard. 3 more to go.
