I'm on lunch break right now, at noon were going to pile in a van and run around town doing the SMITH system. I think my finisher will be here tomorrow. Whats going on ? what kind of snag?
Hey vmaggs... are you running around Joplin in a white unmarked van? Around 2pm several afternoons a week a white unmarked van pulls up in Hardees' parking lot on Main St. with what looks to be like an older instructor and 5-6 additional people in it. They sit there for 10 to 15 minutes... but never go in to eat. I always wondered if that van belongs to Conway and had students in it doing some kind of training. If that's what you're doing... then you've solved a mystery I've been wondering about for years
what is the smith driveing system? Hardees! I miss hardees used to go there all the time when i lived in VA.
Talked to Keturah today, and told her that my Sunday flight would be coming in at 900pm and asked if it wouldn't be better if I got in on a Saturday night because Sunday night would be too much of a crunch, she said she would try to arrange it for me to just stay in nearby Carthage for Saturday and try to get me closer to the city on Sunday. She'll get back to me in the next couple of days.

Thats what their doing. We just finished ours today. Mike did the training which was cool because we had everything done in a day, whereas the other instructor has it stretched out to 2 days. Its a simple hyper defensive driving technique. It actually will help you out if you implement the techniques into your driving habits.
that is a very good question so far i have just waited till monday but I can see where that may be important once I get out there.
