I'm pretty sure the recruiters dont work weekends. So for the most part your on your own. I called the first day I got there, weeekend dispatch answered and said they couldn't help me. Thats why I recomend having some extra cash to handle the little hiccups along the way.
Well, Keturah voicemailed me today and told me that there was some big shindig going on in Joplin the weekend of the first, and that they would be putting people up in a Super 8 in Miami, OK. She also said that she couldn't guarantee me a Saturday room But wait, never fear, Expedia is here! I'm paying my own way to stay in the LaQuinta in Joplin for two nights. It may sound crazy, but you do what ya gotta. If anyone else is going and wants to pay their own way, there are rooms in Joplin available at that LaQuinta.
Thats what I would do. They have a shuttle running around town so you'll be able to get around. Much better than staying in OK, although the Down Stream Casino was pretty cool.

Well glad to say that I passed my backing test and written test,now tomorrow we finish with the road test and pre-trip and we should be done..r.c. is a great instructor.
The way its going right now I wont be out of here till the weekend. Just have to settle for layover pay. Just got done having dinner with my friend and his trainer. He's doing a reset, great guy, had a lot of good pointers of what to expect. Just going to take it one day at a time. At least I'm not stuck in some dump.
