I've lived here 20 years and can honestly say I've never heard one bad thing said about them... CFI or Conway. I've never dealt with them much in shipping / receiving since the companies I've worked for couldn't "afford" them (i.e. cheapskates)... but it was always a special treat having them on the dock when the brokers used them.
Definitely all that you mentioned. You can tell they are a "first class" operation when they hit the dock... very professional. When dealing with companies like Werner and Covenant day in and day out like I used to... the difference is like night and day. As you all know with Conway... company image is EVERYTHING. I've dealt with Conway's LTL division on a daily basis and their LTL drivers have impressed me more than any others. They definitely do not hire just anyone and they know their business VERY WELL.
Im very happy this weekend as me and my teammates managed to pass our bootcamp, now is the real deal, working for con-way. Thank you all for the well informed details which helped us get through this week.
Congradulations! Hopefully your finisher will show up before Friday, mines still not here, Good luck.
VMaggs: do you have work shoes or boots with you, or can I make do with regular tennis shoes? I've got steel toe boots but they're a bit heavy and I don't want to bring them to training and finishing if I don't have to. Also have 33 in rolling duffle bag. Too big?
