Took that way on my bike. It was really nice. Didn't see any trucks up there, though I'd go that way if I didn't have 45k+ in the box.

Ok, so I get the truck back from rotex in Laredo and get a load going to jax about 4 yesterday afternoon. Boy it's hot, 101! I pull through the " are you an American?" Station and I'm feeling bad for the sweaty border agent. Getting back on the super slab, I notice I'm getting warmer. Hmmm. Yup, A/C has gone out. Dang it! I drove it past Houston and shut down about 2330. Sticky, sweaty... The Texas Inn at 785 has a big truck parking lot so, easy in, easy out. I send my form 23 and go to bed. I get rolling 10 hours and a pre trip later. 2 miles down the interstate and all kind of lights and beeps start coming on. Remember the "no A/C"? Pully is seizing up and it broke the belt. There is a TA at exit 789, just a couple of miles! Nope, shut down for good right before the off ramp. Triangles are deployed, waiting for the tow truck. Still sweaty...
paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Man Frank ..... I feel for you!
