Talk to the guys at the shop. I hear they install so maybe they can give advice on mounting brackets. I hear they prefer to do it as they don't want do it yourself jobs on the trucks.

How's it going guys, I'm going to apply at Conway tomorrow 11/12/12 sounds like a good place. I have my CDL but have not driven a truck in 4yrs just wondering on their policy about long hair and beards... is that going to fudge my chances on getting a job with them or are they pretty relaxed on that? I don't have a problem cutting hair & shaving, just wondering cuz there's a terminal 3-4 min. From my house and would be great to get on with them. I keep my hair clean and pulled back same with my beard, I would like to keep them, but working there is most important. I don't do drugs and alot of people tend to see long hairs as slackers or stoners. Anybody work there with long hair? Not a big deal I can lose the hair. Thanks.

 

All is good just make sure it looks clean and neat. Not like a bum lol and you'll be fine

 

Cool. I'll just cut hair shorter and trim beard just to make sure. No problemo amigo. Gotta get that job. right now I have more hair than money you copy. And if they start at $45,000 a yr. #### that's an awful lot more than I've ever made in this life hahaha! Do you have any pros and cons on Conway? Since when have they been running a school?

 

Are you looking at Conway Truckload or Conway Freight? Truckload doesn't run a school per se, but have a partnership (for lack of a better word). I think Freight does operate schools in some areas but don't know where.

Shouldn't be a problem but it all depends of the amount of work at the terminal. Your best bet is to talk to.drivers at that terminal to see how they operate. One thing about all the big ltl companies that is the same story at every one of those companies - location location location. 10 terminals can be like 10 different companies even though they are the same..

 

UUUUGH! I just found out from Conway Freight in Salt Lake that they are nOt hiring till February f###! So I'm just going to have to wait cuz I don't want to be hopping company's. D### unless I go with another outfit for a year. Any advice out there? I have my CDL, I just need a refresher course or whatever.
