Not true... so how do I get my guns across state lines when I travel 1000 miles to go elk hunting?
It's NOT illegal to take guns across state line... but they must be unloaded, cased with the ammo in a separate location.. unless you have a CCW permit then you can carry loaded if you have a CCW and that state has reciprocity with your home state..
The only state in the lower 48 that does not allow a loaded weapon in the vehicle under any circumstances is Illinois....

With as much misconception as there is around gun laws it is no wonder politicians can push through stricter and stricter legislation.
This is my favorite misconception: Anyone care to guess what the map represents?
-
one thing you can carry that does not need a CCW or permit is a flare gun, hit'em with it and they go boom...just saying..
Mud Dog Thanks this. -
lol i would love to see someone get shot with a flare gun...

Is this really turning into a gun safety thread?

It represents a county that voted in the biggest window licker we have seen occupy the White House to date.
Brickman Thanks this. -
It is actually a map of the States that allow Felons, yes FELONS to own, posses and ever get their CCW. Granted these are non-drug, non-violent offenders. Blue represents States that expressly has legislation allowing it. Red states are ban States and the yellow are States that the laws are so contradictory to themselves that its hard to tell if upstanding citizens can own a gun.
Edit: Sorry for the derailment. BACK THE SUBJECT AT HAND! LOLLast edited: Mar 21, 2012
