I will take a minor issue with that one. I would not knowingly drive into an area that has active civil disobedience in progress any more than I would drive directly into a snow storm. Safety is the paramount issue. You are the captain of the ship. You make the final decision whether to go or not. The cargo on your truck is irrelevant. If it is that important, then the authorities can provide an armed escort.
The problem of course, is just like a snow storm, riots are just as unpredictable.

The 2nd is meant to keep what was happening to the colonies by England from happening again in time. Meaning the people having the ability to over throw an opresive government. So yes. They'd want us having the same "ability" now. To bring down the government and replace it with something better. If "needed."
As an example watch a very conspiracy low budget movie called amerigeddon. Some of it is interesting. Though a lot is "out there." It will give you at least an understanding of why the 2nd is here. -
The history of the rights of the subject under the crown seems to be forgotten, the ancient right to bear arms was removed around the time of James I and restored only for one group within England. Since around the time of the civil war to the great restoration, these rights came and went based on religion. Our founding fathers knew more about what and why than most today know about this, one reason why the first amendment was written to protect political speech and government is forbidden to interfere with the people's ability to worship as they see fit and the second was to support the first, with the ninth/tenth to define the power of the Feds and be a foundations of all the individual rights.
The other part of this is this right is rooted in English ancient law, including Dane law, it isn't in common law. Common law iwas and still is derived from decisions from "judges" and groups based in what is considered ancient unwritten universal customs. The right is reinforced but did not exist by common law, only from ancient unwritten universal customs.
Sorry Dino, a person in this industry is regulated through the constitution, still there is no need for special rights, the right should exist for all.
Just a little FYI, gun control laws are stupid, we had none until ~1936 that effected the nation and those were knee jerk reaction against the lawlessness of the 1920's of all times and only from a small selelected few, and the 1968 version took the rights away from everyone again because of the killing of a person who also trampled on the constitution.
