You said it right there, "many", not ALL...You always have to take the good with the bad in everything, that's life!...Think about it, how many jobs have you visiting exotic places, meeting interesting people, and kill them!...Oh wait, that's the Army, oh well, 2 out of 3 isn't bad in anything! :biggrin_25523:

Never ever ever ever ever make a decision about your life based on this board.

Ever heard the saying "Bad news makes it around the world, and good news wont make it across the street". Well, that's this board.

Sure, I have lots of other work options. I chose to stay in trucking because that's where my heart wants me to be. Any time you can make a choice based upon your heart, and not your brain, and it actually works out. Well... You probably are having a pretty decent life.

I don't know if trucking is for your or not, just don't make your choices based upon the crying you see on this board.

It mainly depends on the path you choose to follow.

Do your homework, research, and READ all you can.

Don't come on here tomarrow asking if so and so company is any good.

    Good Luck !!

A lot of it depends on your attitude and outlook. There are lots of lousy companies, but I have been with mine for 18+ years, so either I like it, or am a glutton for punishment! Not many people like being away from home, or have the family or situation where it is acceptable. Do I like being out 2 months at a time, no not really, but that is what is necessary to achieve the optimum pay, which is also another reason I do this specific job.

I keep this on my dash, it's by Charles Swindoll it's Titled Attitude.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude,to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than success, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skills. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes.

Actully I beleive the song goes:

"You take the good, you take the bad,
you take them both and there you have
The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life."
