One question comes to mind. @Silverbeard, what about the owner? Is he the same one who’s been in charge the entire time, or has there been a change of ownership/management as well? Or has the owner’s demeanor/behavior been slowly changing over a period of time, if you step back and think about it?

    Lepton1 and TripleSix Thank this.

IMO, this is one of the most important threads that could possibly be posted on this site. Too many times we hear about the aftermath, where driver say that they SUDDENLY found themselves unemployed, company shut down. They ignore red flag after red flag. I appreciate your play by play updates.

I don't think slow freight is the problem.
All 5 drivers all of a sudden sitting at home.
    Somebody should be doing something.

If I'm the op,I'm going to consider that next
1000 minimum paycheck my last one.
    And budget accordingly.
Unless you go back to work.

Nobody's gonna pay you grand a week to sit at home.
I'd have you come in and mop the floors or something.

    Silverbeard and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

I did LTL in Chicago back in the 90's......Heres a little trick I learned from fellow goombas.
You probably use PRO stickers when you pick up? Slap stickers on the BOL and go?.

Start "accidentally" put old PRO stickers on other competitor LTL pickups, And slap some stickers on the Shipping table , Yellow Dock poles, etc

Same with your deliveries......Those PRO stickers act as a sales staff all in one- Certain to drum up additional business- Worked for me back hen.

    FlaSwampRat and Lepton1 Thank this.
