Doing what? Picking up trash or delivering nukes?

i personally never liked the slip seating stuff. sometimes you do not get back the same truck, you always have to take out all your stuff, or it will disappear.
i also do not like the x number of days on and x number of days off. i like steady weekly work, and maybe a 1 or 2 day off to reset, then back to the grind.
i do not like sliding scale pay, i want consistent pay at all times.that way, i can pretty mush depend on a good weekly paycheck, rather than wonder each week how much more or less i will be taking home.
i kinda just like things nearly set in stone as much as possible.pumpkinishere Thanks this. -
Unless this suits your lifestyle, I think you can do better.
pumpkinishere, sgt50 and Cabinover101 Thank this. -
How do you make consistent money as a company driver taking 7 whole days off? 7 on and 7 off means you're off 2 weeks per month?
pumpkinishere, buddyd157 and Cabinover101 Thank this. -
it would (to me) be a great job for a retired (fully retired) trucker that just wants to be kept busy, while his pension and SS checks roll in like clockwork...pumpkinishere, 12 ga, p608 and 2 others Thank this.

Not a retired trucker, but I am retired, would not do the 7-7, I would do either the 14 or 21 then 7 off, slip seating no big deal just carry enough for the time outpumpkinishere and Cabinover101 Thank this.

One problem with slip seating is that dents and scratches appear that no one lays claim to. Then the blame get's assigned to whoever is driving said vehicle at the time.
pumpkinishere, buddyd157, sgt50 and 1 other person Thank this.
