When I pulled a flatbed I had a midroof truck. It was surprising how often when
delivering in Chicago, depending on my load, I could fit under those low bridges.
The Condo might help your fuel mileage with some loads, but than you will
not fit under any low bridges.

I think the midroof sleepers are easier to trade off. Anybody can use a
midroof truck. Only some applications can really use a condo. Just my
opinion.......haven't been able to prove either way. If you buy a midroof
you can put a fairing on top. If you buy a condo there is no easy way to
turn it into a midroof. Unless you hit one of those low bridges........

I think there are a ton of factors.
I pull flatbed dedicated and I'm loaded up to 13'6" at times so my condo does better on fuel when fully loaded......however, the rest of the time it would be nice to have a mid roof for the MPG. IDK, lol, the interior space and slightly more storage is nice in the condo though.

If you end up pulling reefer with mid roof you'll probably do allot better on mileage than pulling a flat front dry van obviously.

IDK, if you're strictly pulling a flat that doesn't go full legal height, mid roof would be the best bet for mileage from a strictly physics standpoint with pushing the air. I'd think .3 mpg increase would be pretty easy but most likely .5 and the added benefit of lower clearance under obstacles.

I spec'd a new truck and this has become a BIG decision for me but I have chosen a Condo and spec'd the rest of the truck for max fuel economy. For me the interior space and ability to go back to van or reefer was more important...to each their own.

    as i stated earlier.

i'm getting a full 1 mpg better with a condo then i ever got with any of the midroofs. pulling a flat. it's also got the highest hp rateing at 515 then any engine i've had so far.
but it could be the year and technology. it's the newest truck i've driven.

it's also the only truck in the fleet now with a manual 13. and does just as good as the rest of the fleet with auto's.
