conference line

I've set up a conference line for people who participate in the flatbed forum on TTR and the Where is Everyone threads in particular. free to call you just dial xxx-xxx-xxx and enter code xxx-xxx-xxx. I've used this technology with a few other groups and it's a lot of fun. I like it when driving to pass the time, but I'm thinking maybe others will want to use it for a bit at the end of the day ? Anyways, it's really no fun unless there are a few others on there to talk too. So I guess for now let's shoot for calling in at either 2pm central time or 8pm central time so we can connect with others who may be interested. But feel free to use the line anytime if you want to get a few people together to chat. And feel free to offer me suggestions or questions below. thanks, I hope this is a useful and fun tool for people.

 

If you have an android phone you can create a contact and enter # so you don't have to remember the number and code. I think it's the same thing for iphone except you don't have to put the 1 in front of the number. hope to hear from some people I've been typing at and haven't talked to at 2pm or 8pm central.

 

no host, just a channel 19 style free for all. I haven't been on to know if people have used it yet. gonna try to get a few people together sometime this week to get the ball rolling. will post date and time here when I figure that out.

 

well, that kind of throws a wrench in the idea...... lol. it's a conference line, not a business or person. but I guess the rules is the rules.

 

On the other hand, I suppose if someone was willing to put some time into this perhaps having people contact you for the number and code would help verify and keep people from sabotaging the calls. I'm not willing to put that much work into it right now, just wanted to give it the old grade school try and see how it worked out. I'd really like to chat with some of the people I've been typing at for years on here sometime if someone is willing to do it. good way to kill time when driving and much safer than messaging and browsing forums going down the road as well.
