I'm the new owner-operator leased 2 the company which is dispatching me. How can I tell if I'm getting a real confirmation but not altered one?
As of now, I'm getting forwarded confirmations but as you know, there is no guarantee that it hasn't been altered. Your advice with the right solution will be highly appreciated. Thanks.
Confirmation altered or not?!

Not sure broker would tell the price to the driver or operator

376.12 (g) - Copies of freight bill or other form of freight documentation.
I don't know what the op means by confirmation, but the above regulation should be taken in consideration.Old Man Thanks this. -
There is no way except contacting the broker/shipper
-
Who guarantee you that the broker will tell you or even want to talk to you?!

The law is the carrier is to provide you copies of freight bills if asked for, do so at your own risk.
I can go online and look at billing for all my loads,Brettj3876 and Dave_in_AZ Thank this. -
All the rate cons I get would be hard to make look correct if altered. If you think the company is going to go through the effort to change them find a different carrier. I look at every one I receive but you got to have a little trust. I worry more about our direct shipper pricing more than load board stuff. The direct stuff would be easy to change before I get it but they would have to change everyone else’s the same.
If your getting copied that’s about the best you can do? If you don’t trust them at that point then get away from them. Nothing good is going to come from back door checking.
By the law stated above they are required to share this information but you won’t work there anymore I’m sure.Brettj3876 Thanks this. -
