I just got an HOS violation today, got one in february along with an uncertified log violation. The thing is i paid to see my report and it shows 0 violations for the february inspection yet my company says I have 28 points with them, and of course the inspection from today isn't on my psp report yet but why would it show 0 violations from the February one on my end when i paid to see the report myself?
Can someone explain this? Also what is a high amount of points since i guess ill have 49 in total after this one goes on my record. How much weight do employers put on psp reports?
Confused about PSP report

Sounds like your first oos fell through the cracks and didn’t make it to your psp.. Wait a couple weeks and see if the second one made it there.
Sounds like your company has their own way of accessing points but that’s just between you and them. I’m sure once they get high enough by their standards they’ll just send you packing.
You really need to tighten up your ship because getting put oos twice in 6 months just shows that you don’t learn from mistakes.
For me getting put oos with my relatively new authority would be a kiss of death. These are the things that make insurance companies raise your rates.
Personally, I wouldn’t hire you. I’m only saying it so that it gives you motivation to clean up your act.
Good luck -

Whatever the company is telling you about points is for their own system within the company. There are no points on a driver’s PSP.

The company is using the total number of points they received from the inspection report which are initially inflated by a factor of three when first received.
i.e. a 8 point violation x three = 24 points for the first year on the carriers Safety Management System report and this drops over time to the actual violation 'score' for the final of the 3 years it stays on the carriers record.
Your PSP report shows the inspections received for 3 years and accidents for 5 years BUT it does not issue you any points.
The carriers has adopted some safety managemment system that micro manages their SMS points down to the indviduals in an internal system that has no reflection on your actual PSP that would affect any future carriers.kemosabi49, brian991219, Geezweez and 1 other person Thank this.
