Hello jowsuf. Maybe you can do an e-mail or letter asking her to describe her concerns and show them to your local DMV and see how they would respond to her questions. Put the Q & A together then submit it to your recruiter and maybe, just maybe, she may like what she reads without having to acknowledge that she was clueless to begin with. You never know. Good luck!

I was kind of thinking this same thing myself. I'm training with Swift now in Idaho and I'm out of Tacoma. My recruiter worked with me on my large gaps of employment and here I am. I think it's what some others said maybe about the recruiter not wanting to put the foot work in possibly. If you're set on Swift give her a reason to consider you. Get something from the DMV, if they will do that, contradicting what the recruiter is stating. Keep it polite, respectful but persistent. See what happens.

Central Refrigerated is based in SLC, UT but there is a local trucking company they are aligned with in Federal Way where you do some of the training there and the remainder of it is out in SLC.

Check with the school DTS and ask if any companies they deal with have tuition assistance or a state program that pays for tuition. I PM'd you about some info.

Stay away from the mega-carriers and you won't have a problem with recruiters like this. Also your chances of success are much greater too!

To get the exp. of OTR for the 1 yr. as a last resort go to cr england or crst. CRST has an 8 month contract and most companies with hire with 6 mos. exp. so you can go to a better carrier.CR England has a 6 month contract.

If anyone's interested, the recruiter finally ended up emailing me back on the issue. She said she is going to run it by Swift's safety department to see if it's acceptable. Certainly more than I expected her to do. We'll see what happens.
