The most misunderstood road sign is the single word that appears below the speed limit signs. MAXIMUM. That does not mean the lowest speed as to which vehicles must be moving. If that was the case it would read MINIMUM.

I'm still waiting to see the dang airplane writing a speeding ticket! LOL!

I like the one up in Pawtuckett RI...

No trucks over 8,000lbs GVW allowed on bridge. $3500 Fine. Its huge, orange, has flashing lights. And still... there are drivers willing to donate to the bridge fund.

    The never ending bridge fund...

    johnday Thanks this.

that never ending bridge fund money actually goes into the state's general fund, NOT for bridge repairs..!!

and yes, every stinking day, some "yahoo" has to challenge the state troopers in plain sight....

as of May 2011 the bridge fund fines...?? OVER $15 million dollars......!!! ( by now....)

construction (or shall i say destruction) of some of that bridge started already, last week i believe?

driver gets a fine of $85 for disobeying a tragic sign..

the company? the whopping "up to" $3,000....!!! (depending on weights) and some drivers, even with an empty truck..?? ARE GETTING WHACKED the full amount, no slack given..!!
