I lived in the Tampa/Brandon FL area for the first 42 years of my life. Left in 2005. Have been back to visit family and been to Orlando areas a few times. There is no way in the world I would move to anywhere along the immediate I-4 corridor. Too many people, too much traffic, too many people that don’t know how to drive. Property taxes have gotten out of hand and now homes with older roofs cannot be insured unless they have a new roof applied. If I were to consider moving back to Florida I would only move to the areas north or west of Gainesville.
I plan to stay in Tennessee until my life is over, just not in Memphis. Looking to move to East TN in about 4 years.

What he omitted: hurricanes, sinkholes, gators (seemingly) everywhere, vermin (it doesn't get cold enough to kill them off), oppressive humidity levels for most of the year, too many tourists....and that southern charm atmosphere is completely gone.

Some people like hot weather. I'm one of them and very comfortable in Florida and Nevada. Lived in both states.
