There are no jeans or shirts made in the US anymore that I know of . Not for normal people anyway .
i buy Duluth trading jeans , pricy and made overseas
And I use keen or timberland boots
Not sure about Keen but the timberlands are from Bangladesh .
what ticks me off is when a company closes a factory here and moves it to Mexico where labor is 1/10 or to communist china where labor is 1/40th of here , does the retail price of the item get lowered ?
Of course not .
when Levi’s closed their last US factory , in north Georgia , and moved it to Mexico , did they lower the price of the jeans ?
Nope .
when Vanity Fair closed their factory’s in Alabama and moved them to Mexico , did they lower the price or their wrangler jeans ?
when vice grip and channelock moved their factory to communist china and their quality is now garbage did they lower the price in the stores ?
And there is no way I’m getting under a car held up by jackstands made from Chinesium
the Chinese put lead in childrens toys . All kinds of chemicals in the food , remember the Chinese Sheetrock a few years ago that had chemicals in it that are up the copper and aluminum in the hvac and plumbing pipes ?
Everything manufactured in china is total garbage . But sadly , every factory has moved there . Encouraged by the fedgov who gave communists the “most favored nation “ trade status with zero import taxes .
Plus the Chinese steal everyone’s technology and intellectual property and the fedgov does absolutely nothing about it

Wait, aren't all truck drivers god-fearing, flag waving, bible reading, red white and blue patriotic Americans? You know, the ones that vote overwhelmingly to the right? With strong beliefs in the free nature of capitalism?
You know, capitalism...the free market system which allows a small town entrepreneur from a tiny town in Arkansas the framework to create a small business however he liked, and watch it grow as he runs it following whatever path and means he saw fit.
I get the hate on WM. But seriously, is there any better example of the American system of capitalism than Walmart?
Oh, and one more thing....go into any National Park's gift shop, and see how how many souvenir items stocking the shelves are made in China. That's one place foreign made items shouldn't be sold..at least IMO. -
we have some Atlas Copco air compressors at work and they advertise that they are made in Sweden .
One of them started leaking at the oil cooler and I took it apart to fix it and the oil cooler was stamped “made in china “ but they made sure to put the stamp in a location on the cooler where you couldn’t possibly see it unless you disassembled the unit .truckdriver31 Thanks this. -

Considering making the move from LTL into Walmart. I’ve ran OTR many years ago but from the sounds of it, Walmart is more of a regional carrier than OTR.
I applied two weeks ago and got a phone call about 2 weeks later and received a conditional job offer based off of successful completion of onboarding.truckdriver31 and bzinger Thank this.
