I applied at the Mebane location. Do y’all run mostly nights? The recruiter told me $100k/year should easily be obtainable out of that DC, was that a true statement or a bit of a stretch? How’s the management out of that DC? By bounce around do you mean quitting or transferring to different DC’s?
How big is Walmart on gaps in employment? Here is what Knight told me some months back when I reapplied to them. "According to your file you've had to much unemployment in the past 3-5 years to qualify you for employment!"
Technically 30 months of class A within the last 36 months, so yeah there could be gaps. Just make sure you explain them.
Driving for WM out of Pottsville DC really sucks. Do not expect to get more then 400 miles daily. Your average milage will be 300-350. Yes, it's grocery.. you'll be wasting your time waiting to get unloaded at stores. So no decent money here.. really it doesn't worth to apply for Pottsville DC. They have Swift, JB Hunt, Western Express pulling their loads here
.62cpm(350miles) plus activities (10) plus layover = approximately $360ADP. You could always make more... Plus go home nightly/Daily routes. What's not to like? I'm just a dumb southern redneck not worthy of the big raise. I'm a great value driver. And I get by ok and make ends meet on my penny raise so no love lost here
When I hired on in '91 it was a minimum of 3 years, 300,000 miles with zero break in service. They also frowned upon drivers who hopped from job to job. Walmart was very particular with applicants back then.
