Yeah, I'm a hospice nurse, I mostly take care of home patients. Over the years the hospice industry has increased the patient ratio on field nurses just like hospitals increased it on staff nurses. I refuse to take care of more patients than I can reasonably provide excellent care to. But the whole industry has moved to a more patients that get ok care at best model and it's demoralizing. I just got a new patient who is riddled with cancer, cant even begin to tell you how bad it is, what am I supposed to say"sorry your hour is up, I've got more people to take care of".spindrift Thanks this. -

You'll be required to pass a hair follicle drug test.
People that fail or refuse will have their trucking career ruined for a few years. Recently, really cracked down on that even more than ever. -
I'm also looking into career change. Glad you are asking these questions. I am a computer network engineer (have been for 30 years) but also a farm boy. Would really like to dial down the stress level and be more independent. Look forward to reading the replies on your post.
