I can understand the question. With most people you'd expect it.
I have a history of having to take care of myself. Almost died from diabetes, 15 years ago. The leading expert on Diabetes says: "Don't listen to your doctor."
I knew I was lacking something? Didn't know what? I'm one of those who kept trying all kinds of supplements. Searching for what I was lacking? I finally found it. It's Minerals. Especially Magnesium. Straightened me out big time.
I wasn't able to get below 200 pounds while running marathons. My usual weight would prop up to about 210 to 220. No matter what I did?
Then I got into a great program based mostly on really good Magnesium. Weight just fell off me. Down to about 180.
Then... OTR.... oh OTR... I fooled around and cheated at first. Drinking hot chocolate. Stupid things I knew I shouldn't. My A1C went up to 8.9 and I felt awful. I buckled down on eating on the road. Stay away from carbohydrates. My A1C I got down to 5.9. That's just on controlling what I ate. My weight also went down to 160.
Now lately I've been fooling around. Cheating. Thought I gained a bunch of weight? Nope... Only ten pounds. Up to 170. I seriously don't feel that good. I need this Oil Field job for health. Haven't checked my A1C yet.
I know if I buckle down. I'll get real healthy. Know I can get my A1C down to 4.8 (normal). Not sure exactly where my weight will be? Probably real light on weight.
If anybody is interested. This program is fantastic. This Doctor seriously knows what she's doing. Our biggest health problem is lack of minerals. It affects everything, big time. Especially Magnesium. If you only take one thing from this program, take Magnesium.
So if you're interested. I've mentioned this before on this site. Doctor Carolyn Dean. RnA Reset. Look her up on the internet. You'll thank me especially if you get on her Total Body Reset. Others try to do the same with programs. They cost three times what she's charging for the best. You can also look up her books. Biggest one is "The Magnesium Miracle".

EDIT: That leading expert on diabetes. His name is Dr. Bernstein. Book: Dr. Bernstein's diabetes solution. He's the person who got them to create the hand held blood sugar testers we all have now.

    NEVER SAY NEVER. lol.

I thought back to this post and chuckled. I am heading back to the oilfield next week. I wasn’t looking but a great, lucrative opportunity presented itself and I took it. I initially turned it down but the more my neighbor talked the more I thought about it.m They need drivers, good drivers. They are firing or fired a few of the 5 current drivers.

I was hired on the spot. 17 years various CDL experience, 7 years oilfield with 2.5 in Management. They act like they hit the lottery lol.

Hope you are doing well with your new position.

    Congrats!
I remember you telling me the truth about oil fields. Yup.. we just avoid them.
Working out good for me. Other drivers liking me. Welcoming me. We’re expanding where I’m running out of.

Don't know what to think. When I called dispatch for the first time. His response was: "Sucker!"
Guessing we have much more joking going on than normal. I know it's gonna be tough. Had a pretty good idea of what I'm getting into.

Anybody got info on G style out of Williston? How about MBI?
Going better where I’m at. Don’t like slip seat though. Having to pass on that last load to make sure the truck is back.
Is working out better overall. My awful slip seat decided to take medical time off. Crude is slow. Had a crude driver on my slip seat for couple days. Life was good. Have started getting 3 easy or 4 a night.
Surprised that a bad week still paid $1k.
I know I had mentioned my slip seat was good. Just trying to be positive. Actually he’s screwed up. Unstable. Doesn’t know what he’s doing. Selfish. Working to his advantage only. Just trying to look good. I can’t put up with this. Starting hours after everyone else. Unable to sleep last three hours. Group text feed waking me up. Something must change there.

MBI slip seats. Water drivers will swap in the field sometimes. Oil trucks swap back at the yard. Some drivers you can tell are looking out for themselves, but I feel like most of us try to help each other. My partner driver will text me when he gets held up and will be late back to yard, and I do the same. I put my phone on "do not disturb" and sleep just fine.

Had a coworker that was at G Style for a while, he had nothing but negatives to say.
