Ive been in some pretty hefty winds, and the truck gets thrown around quite a bit. Ive never pulled a reefer, but from watching them on the highways, id say they get thrown around a heck of a lot more then we do.
Yep, flatbed right out of the gate, they tried to get me to train reefer first, but I insisted on waiting for a flatbed trainer to come available. I waited a few more days then the reefer guys had to for a trainer. Check out my Thread NOOB or ORD's. pretty good reading on the things you can expect while training here.

I know enough that I will not drive for Prime...bahahaha...but I will give it to you and ORD you show pride in the company you two drive for and I gotta give you two respect for that not many drivers take pride in the company or their jobs...and that's okay in my book! -
Well, obviously there are drivers who don't like their company (whichever one it may be) and other drivers who love that same company. Some stay. Some go. Some lease, some stay company. You are still basing your opinion on 2nd hand information. It may be good, it may be bad.
My husband says Prime is a good company, and if certain issues hadn't cropped up at home, he'd still be there. Does that mean he's lying? No. Are those other drivers lying? Not necessarily. Prime isn't for everyone, and not everyone is right for Prime. Insert any company in the country for Prime.
TL: DR No company is for everyone.Trucker79010 Thanks this. -
In any case, in an industry with an exceptionally high turnover rate, you have identified a few drivers that are unhappy. So, what's your point? -
By far the best comment on here so far. 2nd hand information means a lot when you are looking for at company. You take information in sort though it and make a decision on the company as a whole off the experience of former and current employee don't matter if it's one or a thousand. Like when I have someone come up and ask me how my life was in the Army and ask me if I think they should join. I tell them about my expericencies and they ask questions and they take in the information and from my me telling them how it is in garrison to a war zone they know how the Army works as whole. So 2nd hand information is a important factor when considering a driving job. -

Reefer trailers do get moved by the wind more than FB. Done both. Depending on the flatbed load though how bad it is. Got caught in a good storm today with high winds, and didnt get moved much, but my load doesnt present much of a target and its heavy.
