Same here...coldest winter we had here was two years ago and the wind chill would get to -27. The coldest climate I been in was when I was deployed in Kosovo from 05 to 07. We would go set up an OP or a VCP on the border of Macedonia and Kosovo trying to catch ppl smuggling stuff into the country when the temp was -30 outside. Couldn't imagine it being -57 outside it would suck.

$600/week during training? Right? Thats good.. How much will i make as a solo driver pulling a flatbed? C1 truck school is trying really hard to keep me away from Prime. But i see nothing but good.. I really want to drive for Prime. How much as a solo flatbedder per mile? As a newbie. Please help and thank you..

Thats kinda right. You start out at $500 a week for 4 weeks (I think). After that it goes to the $600, as long as youre available for dispatch. The $600 is the MINIMUM (as long as youre not on hometime) Anything over 5000 miles for a week is paid as 10cpm for the first 4 weeks. Afterwards it goes to 12cpm. Solo flatbed starts out at 36cpm.

With a trainer - all miles are counted towards the total needed to upgrade. That's for an inexperienced CDL holder.
