Considering Prime, Sell me

Ok...do y'all have APU in yalls trks?

 

Company trucks do.

 

They work good?

 

If it doesn't, you call RA and they get it fixed.

 

Mine does normally. When it doesn't, it gets fixed.

 

Im looking to buy this blue 2000 KW W900 it has one and never had one on any of the trks I've drove. How often they breakdown?

 

Perhaps that question is better asked in the Kenworth part of the forum. And don't think you can get it on at Prime. Truck has to be 2010 or newer.

ETA: misunderstood part of the question. APUs, just like any equipment, will run better with proper maintenance. Some breakdown more often than others. JCW never had an issue with his. Others have nothing but problems. Find out what make the APU is, and go looking for reliability information on that make.

 

Not looking to hire on at Prime. Just getting yalls opinion on APU's since y'all have em.

 

Is it a tripac or rigmaster?

 

Tripac. I wouldn't think they would be very difficult to work on.
