Here's a copy and paste from my recruiter 2 weeks ago:

    “C" Seat Driver

Have graduated from an outside truck driving school OR have less than 2 months OTR

Must come to Prime within 45 days of graduating truck-driving school OR have a least a month of OTR 6 states or more.

Run Team training for 5 weeks with a certified trainer for 5 weeks IF you received your CDL from another truck driving school.

Then $600 per week or .12 cpm for the next 40,000 combined mile (guarantee is if you are on the truck)

Then into you own truck for 20,000 miles at .34 cpm loaded & empty

    C Seat ~ 5 weeks @ $500 per week

    B Seat ~ remaining 40,000 combined miles @ $600 per week or .12 cpm

A Seat Company ~ your own truck for @ .34 cpm until for 20,000 miles.

A Seat Lease Option ~ % of Revenue Sharing OR you can choose to run company

Hell that's startin' to look more and more attractive! Throwin' chains and tarps and crap. Lots less backing with flats? Do you ever bump docks? When I drove (electronics) in another life, it was always big cities and docks, some insane tight alleys too. Do you face these challenges with flatbed? I gained about sixty pounds in one year as well. No bueno; hated being fat. Guess you don't get too porky with the extra work? I am prob. going with Prime, just undecided about reefer v. flatbed. Not as much waiting around with flats?

Despite what reefer guys say, we do back quite a bit. Mostly to get loaded. Yes we also have docks to hit, some are really tight. Still have to go to big cities (48' are allowed in NYC :( ) The extra work does help keep you from being Porky Pig. Still got to eat right though. Not as many flatbed trucks around. Less competition for loads.

Less competition sounds good. All the trailers are 48'ers? You guys experience any seasonal slowdowns?

I get 42cpm... I have no bragging rights.

I have never heard any serious bad things about Prime, nice trucks lovin the bull bars on the front.

I see a lot of Prime in Albama and a lot of their flats in Monroe, NC.

This is for those with no experience... Preraise pay. Not including any extra pay we get. The deer slayers are required for all company trucks, and therefore paid for by the company :D
