I don't know if they do anymore due to Illinois licensing procedures. I would suggest calling them to find out.

    Ahh...thanks!
    Forgot about the school deal.
I had a couple good students that came through there when I was training.

Paying for hotel/meals while attending RDTC (their school in Marshfield) seems only fair -- otherwise they could just add those costs into the tuition fee and say "all included," but then you'd most likely pay the same total either way. The way it is, you get to make your own choices about how "high on the hog" you want to live while attending the school.

Providing hotel/meals for drivers who already have their CDL, Roehl can deduct that as a business/recruiting expense. Different situation than for running their CDL school.

I went through the school in 08 and my wife has family in Marshfield and Stratford. They graciously provided free room and board while I was there. Really made things easier.

We don't have a Walmart contract. I deliver to Walmart Dist. Centers alot, but not to the stores. No pets in company trucks. You can have small pets in Lease Trucks.

Thank you all for the info so far. I saw on Roehl's website about home time and home time plus? Can someone elaborate please?

There are hometime fleets (which require slipseating trucks).
    14/7 (Days Out/Days Home)
    7/7
    7/4 - 7/3

Or if you run national you can get days off depending on time out.

    10/2
    11/3
    18/4
    And so on.

There are also some regional fleets where you are out 5-6 days then home for a reset typically every weekend.

Well that definitely explains it all in a nutshell. Definitely don't want to slip seat. Saw that happen to my dad and now what it's like. I want my own truck.
