Philly is most likely closest, but I think that is just a drop yard, and not a terminal. If it's a secure drop yard that may be different. I've never been there, but others here would know better than me. Other than that, the next closest yard is most likely Springfield Ma, but that is not considered secure as it's not locked and no guard, though it used to be.

Sounding real good.. From what I'm reading seems like Roehl is definitely a company to go to work for!

Is Marshfield the only school for Roehl?

It seems that they train near Dallas as well. Just graduated from Marshfield school today. Message me if you have any questions regarding the school.

Yeah, there are several of us posting here (already have our CDLs) who have come to that conclusion; have applied, been preHired, and thought we were scheduled for Orientation, but ... the training dates have all been pushed back this week. You need to get on a few of the other Roehl threads. Freight has apparently slowed significantly this month. It's affected both the training schedules AND the number of miles the current drivers are getting. Hopefully this is very temporary and not the beginning of an Obama "double-dip" recession!

Same here -- I think businesses around the country are nervous about the uncertainty from the so-called "fiscal cliff" set to happen at the end of the year, and that will be the case until the questions are settled. Also to a lesser extent they're trying to figure out what to do now that Obamacare is apparently gonna happen for sure. A nerve-wracking time to be running a business these days.

Oh, and the aftermath of hurricane Sandy in the NE also. Maybe lots of building materials going to there in the coming weeks/months though.

Slow down this time of year is fairly normal.
The Christmas rush stuff is in the stores/warehouses.
It's the end of the year, so to avoid paying the tax on inventory, shipping slows.
In the next month or so it should pick back up.
