What you don't realize is being in a truck is going to be the same situation. Wait till you realize what you had and what you ended up with and you will really be frustrated.....:yes2557:

Well, here's the thing.. I've thought about that too - everything becomes routine and everything gets frustrating. But when you lose a passion for something or don't care about it anymore, just move on. I think the point is to keep moving. Nobody is tied to what they do for all of eternity. You're not bound to that truck forever (as much as it may feel like it, I assume).

Again, this is just my philosophy though. I agree it's not a "safe" position to take but it's the way I try to look at life.

I just hope all you dreamers taking a shot at your boyhood fantasies are doing it on your dime and not wasting more taxpayer money like welfare queens .

Not at all. I waste nothing in life. My logic is simply that you have to follow your heart wherever it leads you, whenever it leads you.

I was in the army and after the first few years I hated it. I did get disibility when I got out so that helps me. I am getting ready to start training next week and I can't wait the money will be not bad from the guys I spoke to who work at the company I have a wife and kid to take care of but I would tell you my life outside of the military has been good hope you make it in whatever you try to do.

Your statement in 30 or 40 years will be "I wished I'd stayed in the service". Always is.
