cpap deal is an issue thats seems unresolvable. use truck power to run the machine. that inverter really should be hard wired. but sni wont. good news is, if he keeps it upright and hasva goodvrelationship with his boss he can at some point be assigned a new one. they now have 1500 watt inverters factory installed.

bunk heater is not working right? it may be his doing in part. if you dont manually shut it off and wait a few before turning key to on then it will malfunction.

what about the seat thats broken? or was.

and what was the deal with the brakes?

except for the brakes none if those issues put a truck out of service. so therefore not broke down.

as a driver I need to articulate as clear and as detailed as possible to the mechanics what I think is wrong. If they can replicate it, great. if they cant and dont see anything out of whack then their hands are largely tied. like us the mechs have their own policies to work under.

in my time here I found that I need to work with what the truck dictates, not the other way around. much easier to do the work and a #### sight less stressful.

Thanks for your response. I didnt list all the breakdowns, not even close. Work when ya can, even though there is no heat in the truck in the middle of winter, etc. Do what ya can, forget the rest.

Most are non dot relatable. So he shouldn't be park waiting it to be fix, he should keep going and drop it in the yard when he goes home. Let them fix it while he sit at home not at a hotel.

For example my apu isn't working right and can't keep cool with this hot summer. But I came from schneider so I know how to deal with it until I have time to get it fix without wasting my work time.

That's what I'm experiencing with my current truck. Everytime I turn around, the darned thing is back in the shop AGAIN!!! Another issue can also be the quality of shop doing the work. Some companies have...shall we say somewhat less than competent individuals working in their shops? And there are outside shops that can have multiple failings in terms of workmanship and honesty, just like in the non trucking world.
