Constellation 96 cab help

    I have a 96 4964f of course the steel cab has rust issues. Truck is solid everywhere else and 3406e is in great shape and overhauled. Are other year cabs comparable and how about a ex model? Not sure what the differences are. Truck is a 96.

    Not that this answers your question, but did you know that cab design dates from the late 1950s, early 1960s? White owned several manufacturers, and they shared that cab before the Western Star was introduced.

    The F is not a constellation, The FX is the constellation series of trucks. The "X" was added to designate the larger constellation cab. Any older White/ Western Star cab will be the same.

    what year did they start with the constellation? Mine is a 96, is there any way to tell. The cab needs a lot of body work and wondering if I can put a new cab on it instead?

    Yea it's a solid door no bubble glass. I looked from where I bought it and it's indeed a 4964f on the paperwork. Going to try and get to a reputable body shop here in eastern pa and see what it would cost. Guess if it's too cost prohibitive I'll be saving for a newer star. Shame because it's really a great runner.

    So I found a complete cab and sleeper assembly. Kicker is it's a 2001 ex but is complete cab and big sleeper. Is it possible to use it?
