Well I have been with CE for 9 months first 3 drove dedicated out of Danville terminal and for the last 6 have been driving team with. My fiance and it has been very good. Average 5000-5400 and home every other weekend they offer loads on our off weekend and it is up to us to take them.or not but if we do we take three days off with no problem. They have basic trucks but they get the job done I do agree sometimes dispatch is a little slow but if u stay in communication with them every thing works out for the good also get a piad week every three months and I have had no problems in being off when I needed to . if u want a job and be home every week find local companies but then don't ##### about pay I have been in Trucking for 18 years and been with many different companies and not one company has MADE me run illegal if they tell u to then it is your choice

Plenty of Dayton local companies paying more for less...especially now that the spring hiring is starting. Hell some I applied for a year ago are even calling. Fine where I am but other guys and gals looking for good paying work will be in luck.
Heads up to Dayton area folks looking for work...USF Holland is in need of drivers...union and full benefits.
Had them ringing me just today and if I was not committed to where I am and my co-driver...I would be all over that. -
I'm starting with CE in October of this year, I'm out of ftnworth Texas and I'd like to know the truth from a truckers stand point about the question I'm going to ask. I have a female partner and they are bringing us in as team dedicated. Instead of .50 a split, they offered, 46 instead reason being is because they are in need of team dedicated drivers for the routes they have. We were assured of the mileage and that the money was there to be made, my question is, have we been low balled?

Thanks bud, I know most companies get bad wraps from disgruntled former and current employees, but you seem straight up. Especially after reading most of your thread here.
Yeah, my teammate and I are expecting the ######## for the most part, she's seasoned and I'm a rookie with the heart to run. We were told that being on a dedicated team route would give us the trips and miles, so I guess we will just have to take that venture. What is their dispatch like and "shady" practices about? -

Being a rookie I don't have a clue about this journey my teammate and I are going on. Yeah she is old school, and don't take no ####, especially from DMs, her mom and girlfriend are both DMs unfortunately. You're absolutely correct when you said I have to protect my slate, that's what I plan on doing going into this. And yes that team dedicated route is new, and I had been down and that team route had been becoming overflow For solo drivers. But that's a very good question I will be asking away today when I go back in. As a newbie, do you have any suggestions or and for this company?
-
Also, how can a company own you if you blemish your DAC, PSP, or MVR report?
-
It is only up to you to protect your record. I don't know how many times I have been asked or expected to run illegally. No is what I always tell them. Let them get upset. If it don't feel right, or it isn't legal, don't do it. If you feel unsafe or too nervous (outside your comfort/experience level) don't drive it.nosleep4bishop Thanks this. -
Office workers, for the most part, are polite.
Maintenance is awesome in Sidney, Danville, and Gaffney lack luster. Ft. Worth? Can't say.
Fuel where, when and how much you like.
Good luck on getting regular showers or food stops. Carry plenty of grub with you always.
Freightliners are hard to sleep in while moving!!!! Buy a memory foam mattress fast!
Make sure you understand their quitting Policies before you sign them.
Stand up for yourself and have a strong backbone. They do respect that. Joe in Ft. Worth is a pusher. He came from Sidney. He and I clashed once and he understood at that moment where I come from.
They are desperate for Drivers, don't be afraid to speak your mind, especially on the QuallComm, Russ, the Owner, read them all! No cursing and you won't be fired. Cover, cover, cover and cover again your own butt!nosleep4bishop Thanks this. -
Thank you for the advice bud. I will make sure to follow you up with updates.
SCar72 Thanks this.
