I had a 3 month stint with these guys... Didn't work out at all, but to me the funny part of the video is Russ speaking of "accuracy"

On My very first delivery for them I strolled into the receiver around 8:10 for a 9 am appt. I always plan to be an hour early. Guy takes the paper, looks if up, looks at me, and asks if I drove for Continental. I told him I did, he said I should get a medal. This was the third time the load had been on time in the 5 years he had been there.

Turns out CE has a well earned reputation for being late, and not just there, everywhere I delivered.

But also, "doing your job", is knowing when to run and when to shut down. With CE, they'll claim they want you safe but yet, will talk smack to you for shutting down. I myself, dob't run at night in the Winter time up North. If the roads are coves in Ice, Snow or look wet below 32, I call it a night, regardless of my hours. I'm a Southern Boy and don't play on what I can't see. Day time is different, I'll push then and at times, I'm the only Idiot on the road for mikes. Even that has it's limits too.

But all in all, CE was one of my favorite Companies to drive for. I ran into a few crappier Companies. So much so, I just decided to retire and sit around the House.

If I were to drive again, I would probably go back with them for a bit. At least they allowed me to vent and speak my mind. The pay was okay too. And trust, there's a lot worse out there than CE. I seemed to fibd them too! Lol!

true but the statement was :"No way I would run that in the winter...Christ that is like asking to get in an accident." all that says to me is if it is not easy I don't want to do it... I know it is not easy did it for about 5 winters in a row 97-04 mainly because we had to many fair weather drivers who didn't want to go north of 40 in the winter time..

A company wants more work...they need to pay more. Reefer is an added pain to the driver that results in more attention to the reefer unit and more scaling which all results in time.

Today a driver's record counts perhaps more than any other time in driving history and adds to the value of that driver with the good or perfect record. Avoiding bad areas is just plain common sense if one wants to protect that license and CSA score.

It is very legal if you signed an agreement. Ask my Brother, he's a Lawyer. A freely signed agreement will always trump. Samething as a Labor Contract for a Union.
