Well this has been an interesting read

I am the one Unhappy Trucker mentioned that lasted 90 days at CE. Wasn't for me, I met a number of drivers who liked it there, I have another friend that does also, just not what I wanted to do.

I was mislead completely on what I would be doing from the start. That is the major sore point had since that was the reason I went there. When I raised the point I was asked to give them some time and they would work if out. They never did and I left.

I did give them 7 days notice, I gave then 6 weeks notoce I was looking for a new job, I gave my last carrier 3 weeks notice, The Job before that, two weeks... Etc, etc, Its just a courtesy to do so.

As for some other things said in this thread. I talk with Unhappy Trucker once a week or so. Have known him for a 3 to 3 1/2 years. He is what he says and I have seen some of the messages he has sent to his DM, and I can assure you he is not plantng lip locks on their buttocks. He also is not a Yankee, and I have no idea what that has to do with anything, although he is quite a bit more i telligemt than your average redneck, so maybe that is what threw you off.

As far as CE, they have their good points, but I prefer long haul, border to border and coast to coast.

Every company has a certain level of BS you have to deal with, the trick is to find the company whose BS you can live with.

Arguing about someone being stupid, or an idiot etc, for working or not working somewhere is kind of pointless. Truck companies are like women, what appeals to one may revolt snother. There is no explaining attraction and to each his or her own.
