Every other weekend off. Just had last week off for vacation. Was just in the yard from Utah, got new Tires, a Wash, Clutch Sensor and a electrical adjustment. Also just got put on a list for a new Automatic Truck when they come in. On my return trip back to Utah now. Even gave my new DM some hell about how Im not gonna drive at night in bad weather. Not saying all my checks have been great. Have had a couple $900 ones. I raised Hell and averaged $1250+/wk my first year. Like most places, one has to be proactive and show them you can and will run.

But if you're happier where you're at now, that's great. Every Company has it's ups and downs. CE and your new place are no different.

You just hit the nail on the head. I am one of those who enjoys staying out. Would love to go back to staying out 90 days at a time, then a week of vacation. Got a GF after nine months with CE, now Im out for two weeks. Only two things I wished CE had would be KW's and national runs. But I try to take the bad with the good.

Checked out your FB, (TW) with the exception you being a Yank and me a Southern Boy, we're not to far off apart in views. You're good to Animals, so I'll give you points on that too. Keep up the good work on them.

 

I worked for RUSS G. early 90s he was ripping off drivers then. He swore in my face he would do whatever it took to make sure i never drove a truck again. I filled for unemployment after a wrongful termination because of an illness i had. He called me back to work 3 months later and screwed me and my family every way he cud. 5 day delivery on a 300 mi trips that had appt only delvrys. This company has been stabbing drivers in the back since 1993. And read the post after all thesez yrs nothing has changed.

Five day delivery on a 300 mile load? Sounds fishy to me. Not saying yoy're lying, but why in the world didnt you just have them relay it or put it in a drop yard somewhere and run a few other runs till its ready to deliver? Would seem you had a bad DM and a worse Driver on that load!? You got be proactive and think outside the box at times too.

I've had load with a whole lot of kill time too, nowhere with the amount you claim. First thib g I do is call and find a solution to it, if there is none, demand compensation for your idle time. Works for me.
