I was thinking of the....not sure what its called but its still a filter for the coolant. I know i have one, ive seen it and even replaced it. Could it possibly be the culprit. What do ya think?

maybe the flange on the manifold is warped.

never heard of a filter in the coolant.

Well, replaced egr valve and got to looking at blown gasket and we were convinced it was heat blowing it out instead pressure. So we did a pressure test...guess what. Charge air cooler leaking air faster than u could put in! Took it out and it had cracked along weld. I have about 600 miles on it thus far and it seems to be holding up. Keep fingers crossed, tomorrow I will be hooking to a fat pig to pull on some long hills which is when and where it usually blows out.

    Heavyd and eeb Thank this.
