Never said you did....not once. But , I would like to see a link or an article written by a resource without any thing in the game on the testing. It may very well be a fact that the snub technique gets lower temps while testing....but were the tests done in real-world , live conditions or were they simulated on a computer. I'm no know it all , nothing close to being one , don't think a driver ever sees every single scenario or experiences the same thing twice .....ever. I also understand that the only constant in this world of ours is change , whether in truck driving , or any profession , and I also realize those that refuse to take advantage of those changes are sometimes doomed to failure ( read failing a CDL exam as you referenced). In the scenario we are debating however , I'm not referencing just my opinions alone , I'm referencing over 30 years of experience using the slow/steady/even pressure method of braking working in all types of weather and grades all across the nation and Canada. Over 3 million safe accident free miles speak for themselves...again not an opinion a fact. My experience isn't based on my opinion , but the fact that I was able to accomplish that achievement using that method.....this should put your statement here to bed. " Anyone is entitled to their own option; but, no one is entited to their own facts". I never once tried to dis-credit what you stated , saying you were posting non factual info...both methods work , because both methods work......period. that fact was never in question.
