Hi everyone. I am hauling onion and potato. I am thinking to buy one more trailer but this time a dry van. Do you think i can put a small reefer unit to keep it at 50 degrees? Will this give any damage to the wood floor or the wall because of the moisture?

I don't think the front wall will hold a reefer unit, don't think a dry van will be able to maintain 50 degrees either.

Probably better to buy a old reefer between no wall insulation and all the work involved it would be cheaper unless your just installing a heater unit not for cooling I'd bet it costs way more to convert a dry van

    It's a thought..........but should be a fleeting one. Unworkable.

Even if you can do it, you would probably burn more fuel than a reefer due to the lack of insulation. Also, imagine the amount of corrosion that would result in a trailer not designed for the moisture that may condense on the inside.
