Band switch high, rotary to D. Now you are on the 40 CB channels. Have to say buying a radio above your skill set is not a good idea. At least learn it so you will be able to use it without causing problems to others.

That radio is AM/FM only. It does not have Side Band.
K7DFA Thanks this. -
He said sidebands but did not mean SSB, he meant the extra bands, asking which letter is the CB band. This would be D band. Band switch low = A, B, C: high = D, E, F.

It has a sideband on each side of the carrier.

That's a dirty rotten shame, maybe if he'd heeded the advice from someone who had told him that his radio wasn't "legal" to be operated in the "11 Meter" band . . .
-
Doesn't matter if it is technically illegal. There's no real, serious enforcement so nobody cares! I don't think the gubment even cares unless some ham guy whines enough to them about it they just do something to shut him/her up. Like others said, stay in the CB band, or close, and you won't have a problem. I'd venture to say there have been more CBers get in trouble for running big power, with a legal CB radio, than there ever will be for running an export radio. (unless they venture up into the ham band.)K7DFA Thanks this. -
I would disagree with that, except that the "voluntary license" really isn't, at least it isn't if you want to do anything that's really fun!!

If everyone operated a non distorting radio, the world would be a better place.
K7DFA Thanks this.
