Converting a 377 to 379

You can get a 379 without too high mileage for fairly cheap. You just need to look nation wide, not in just one area.
Prices are down everywhere. The Pacars are not selling for even 10k more than the freightshakers or Corn Binders.
The asking prices are higher, but not the selling prices.

The differance between a 378 and a 379 is the hood. The 378 has a fiberglass hood with bbc of 119''. The 379 comes with a aluminium hood in either a 119'' or a 127'' bbc. I am not sure about the 377's, other than there are no 127'' bbc 377's.

 

Why not sell it and buy a 379?

The 379 is a different animal than the 377, you might want a 378 sfa which it looks just like a short hood 379 but has a glass hood and the cab seats higher than the 379. personally I don't thing is worth it just go and find a 379 and be done with it.
