Hey Ernie, look at the dates of the post above, they are over a year old. Good luck, I am trying to decide if I should go to school to become a trucker, I have a Felony arrest, but no conviction. I took a deferred adjudication with probation for two years. I cant seem to find the real answer on how to aproach a company with my situation.:biggrin_25512:

you won't be lonely... you'll have plenty of company...:biggrin_2554:

Personally I judge on an individual basis but also have no problem with three strikes and your out.

I have a 70 year old uncle been in the pen for 52 years... he's been out a dozen times for a few months here and there. Just finished a 14 year stint and is out again. why I don't know???

but he ain't invited for dinner that's for sure...

I to have a felony and it is for possession. Its 10 years old now so will hopefully be able to find a job. I've had my CDL now for almost 8 years but couldn't seem to get hired because of no recent experience. Am now back in school getting refreshed. I've filled out a lot of apps and have seen the range of how old your felony needs to be from 2 to 10 years and some that state no felons period. Got a real shock and just filled an app. out where the only question was not "are you a felon" but "have you had a felony within the last 7 years". I actually got to answer no to that one. The one thing that really drives me up a wall tho is - why should there be a difference between a drug felony and a DUI felony?

Well Panhandle, the way I think that they look at it is, Drinking is legal, Drinking and driving is illegal. Drugs are always illegal and a serious problem in this country, and do they want someone that will have the ability to transport all accross the country with a drug conviction (not saying that is what you would do), but that is a big concern for them. Just my thoughts on it.

I have hazmat and tankers endorsements. Within the past month or so I got arrested felony "Battery" charges. Will TSA re-certify my hazmat endorsement due to my felony charges?
