They were running a lot of day line-haul on Saturdays for a while but they haven't done that in a few months. At that terminal, unless it's weather related and they have to run everything on a weekend to catch up, there's usually enough volunteers to cover the work. I've only been forced to work one weekend in 11 years and it was after the snowmageddon in 2010.

Honestly I like the work a lot. Darn good group of guys and some dead sexy women working there lol

hate the shifting limit crap, haven't set a camera off yet lol, other then that and the fear to work FAC, it's not too bad at all. I was expecting an absolute dump.

Working the dock is a breeze, it's fast paced and keeps the blood pumping, good stuff.

He's worked at all 3 places that you have mentioned I believe... If it were me thinking in the long term I would go with UPSF considering of the 3 they have the best retirement plan

Long term UPSF would be better of the 3 as they have a full pension and highest paid in the industry. They operate just like CWF though. Never been to the Hagerstown terminal. But like CWF expect a lot of time on a forklift. See what they got to offer though. If you were closer to Harrisburg I'd say go there as they got TONS of runs. And majority have no dock work. Plus that's were all the nice new and well maintained trucks are

Upsf is a better landing spot but I haven't heard anything good about the Hagerstown terminal. FedEx Freight and us are the only big terminals in town. If you like the p&d stay there. You'll have no problem getting that from day one. Most drivers don't want anything to do with it because of all the line-haul. Even if you were day extra board tell the bosses you want city work and they'd give it to you after they regained consciousness on the floor.
