You won't get to meet yours until you have your own truck. That's when they'll assign you one. You'll actually get your badges then, along with security cards, Comdata cards and Con-way cards. The orientation kit has your hazmat rule book, green rule book and other useful stuff in it. You'll get it early Monday and they'll talk about just about everything in there. Welcome.
I'm heading out tomorrow morning with mine. Got all my stuff put in the truck tonight.
*amusing fact: We're both sitting in the same building talking online.![]()

I've eaten there 4 times since I came back from Neosho. G'night Godfather and good luck tomorrow! (Make sure you're on time in that lobby as the bus driver *will* leave you behind.)

Day 8 started out pretty early. We had to be on the bus and ready to go at 530. We left from Neosho and headed to Joplin to pick up the guys starting orientation this week. We arrived at the terminal at 7. Hustled into the same orientation room and had roll. We then split up and went into a different classroom and started going over a few things like logs/logging hours/map review, BOL, etc. We had some paperwork to fill out as well, not much just the insurance paperwork and we had to sign our applications again. We got our I.D cards fuel card/and company ATM card. So we are now official Conway TL employees. That really made the day worth it. We also got an orientation packet with some useful things in there. I would tell you what is in there but like a moron I left mine in the classroom. Hopefully it is still there tomorrow. I was freaking out when I realized everyone brought theirs with them. If it is there and I do get it I will tell you what is inside. We took a little tour of the facility. Its pretty neat. They have a basketball court, a full gym and a few lounges. They also have a company store where you can buy some company schwag. Also they have some supplies just in case you need anything. The store prices are fairly cheap. I bought 2 t shirts and a holder for my sunglasses. came to 20 even. we also watched a video on the QC and Elogs. Tomorrow we will be picked up at 6 and be at the terminal around the same time I guess. I think we will be watching videos and learning the SMYTH system. Im not sure though. I will let you know tomorrow. I guess we will be waiting for our finishers for the rest of the week. I guess right now its looking like Thursday or Friday. No big deal. Seems like they are bumping our training hours down from 10k to 7500 which is good. I get to go home sooner and I should be able to make it back in time for my daughters birthday in July. Fingers crossed. That's about it. Ill let you know what happens tomorrow. Good luck to the newbs at the Boonslick. You should like Crowder.
