    Zombie thread here.
But $19/hr for dock work and 36 or 40 cpm still doesn't change the fact that it's a young man's game.
Drive and unload, unload, reload and drive.
It's good to be young and strong and make money.

So a ~2 year driver would be looking at 39cpm base + 1cpm quarterly safety bonus + 1.5 cpm productivity bonus (paid annually?) -- so ~41.5cpm for a company average of 125,000 miles/year?

Meh -- Doesn't make me regret leaving... $51,875/year seems kinda low for an international hazmat otr driver with 2+ years' experience and a clean record. Being away from home 330 days/year and with such a limited pool of qualified candidates -- that should easily be a $60K+ job (145,000 miles/year or 48cpm @ 125,000 miles/year).

Yeah I think it should be 24 hours not 48. Or pay minimum wage while you wait atleast

So its been two years since i started this thread. And now another almighty 1 cent raise. What a joke of a company. Why would anyone stay past their second year is beyond me. Why would anyone be dumb enough to believe they got a good deal going on and defend them? I dont regret leaving one bit. Ive been a year with my LTL company and there is rumors of a second raise coming up, 3% bump that should put us at 55 cpm and catch up with Old Dominion and SEFL. Thanks for the ding in my DAC, nice try Conway.

Do drivers with no experience still start out at 30 cents after training?

    31 now wade

Still 26 while on trainer truck.

I agree oi! it was insulting.

Technically its a 2 and a half cent raise

Or 4 and a half if you are a 10yr+

Think I'll wait it out for those extra weeks of vaca.... Not that far off....

50 + days off banked.... Two weeks vaca available..... Think I'll be fine to get there.(with a shop assist in there of course)

Collect the accumulated bonus take my fresh two week vaca and split.

Sounds like a plan. Better hold off on those apps for now.

I dont defend it , but dont compare an OTR company to a LTL ....different beasts altogether.
I plan on trying to get on with SEFL in Punta Gorta Fl in Dec/Jan after I take my two weeks vacation. Not as many choices in ltl in the Fort Myers area ..... seems like bigger terminals in Tampa /Orlando / Miami or Jax
