Asked my fleet manager if I could opt out of being sent routing...I have a map.

broken down in denver... Truck would neither start nor take a charge -- had to be pull started. Dispatcher said "you were dispatched at 0200, why are you just finding out now" -- um, because it was 65 and I had no reason to turn on the truck until it was time to go... Hell it didnt even start load shedding until after I tried starting it


Dealership backed up (big surprise) -- may not get looked at until monday. Looks like a 1200-mile week -- thank you prostar (day 15 in shop this year). Can't get a room until they know for sure it wont be fixed tonight -- that'll be at oh 2300? sigh....

Ps . They tried to get me to relay a load up to Tampa ( wasn't happy bout it but I went to Conway in MIA & staged ...drop my trl & then they cancelled the whole thing ...)

Klamath falls Oregon. Pick up at jeld wen tomorrow at 2200 with 2 stops Illinois and mt Vernon Ohio. I hope its ready before 2200. Student has gotten lots of mountain training in the last couple of days. He is doing great.might have to graduate him early.

Erg! Called dealership to see if truck was done -- nope, still waiting on conway authorization... Wtf -- they just talked to you last night before approving my hotel? Parts in stock, but "new" trucks now being worked on so even with approval stealership wont have techs available until tomorrow at earliest. Not sure whose ###### it was, but I'm the one it is costing.

Sigh, 114 days out and counting; very much looking forward to my hunting trip in two weeks. Crisp mountain air, no clocks, no phones, ice cold beer imbibed by a campfire while roasting an unlucky pigeon. two more weeks... maybe I should make a paper chain to count down the days like in kindergarten?
