Got a short run then preplan to Mississippi.... which is not Nevada @ all -.-

 

REally not liking this new FM she is very quick to get you off the phone, everytime you try and explain something to her before you get it all out she's already telling you what you need to do and half of the time it has nothing to do with why you call, also called today to see about getting highlighted for home and all I could say was "Hi Carol wanted to see about get high......" Oh no can't do that your under a load call back when your 25 miles away from consignee. Is this a new rule or one that no one follows because our old FM whenever we wanted to highlight we just called and he'd put it down. Also we have not got 1 load from her, whenever we get our loads they are always after she has left for the day or not there, also no Preplans, always still running under the company average, last week we asked if there was any loads that maybe ran thru Oklahoma to where we could stop for an hour or so to pick up things and she told us we can't do that planners could tell us if there was or wasnt we would have to highlight for home . How do you get a new FM ????

Back home after a month out on the road and my old truck just about had it.

 

Dropped my load @ CNF

got to the Jubiltz at 12:55 ct

with 5 min left on drive. & 2 min on my 14

just in time to start a reset....

 

Went on the board Monday at 07:30, got load at 15:50, to pu in Orlando at 0800 Tue. Deliver in JAX at 17:00 Tue, now wed am 5th on board in JAX with 320 mile for the week...needing a big one to bail this week out! It's time to start bribing the planners....psst, little planner, want some barbeque?

 

25 mile is an old rule...an FM will help you side step it if, for example, you need to get home in 8 days, but at the 8 day mark you will be 2 days away from your consignee.

Most FM's don't want to chat, newer ones especially. I try to call so rarely that the FM asks me how I have been because it has been so long since we talked.

FM;s don't give loads, planners do. An experienced FM will see that you have been sitting for a while, or your miles are low, and sweet talk the planners for you.
