Oh yeah -- I thought those were prototypes made from spare parts lying around the shop -- didn't think they were paying an outside vendor for them. They're my least favorite...

I pull reefer trailers with undertray, result 9.2 mpg when 65 mph. If without it, it was 6.9 mpg.

Russ, I do not believe that some plastic under the trailer results in a 30% increase in MPG. Something in your calculation must be off - not apples to apples.

I don't say that plastic stuff has 30% increase. That truck has super singles and on the trailer. It's not mine, it's my buddy's cascadia had 2.53 rear diffs. Now he drives 2015 prostar with cummins isx15, 10 sp ultrashift, 2.64 rear diffs, super singles (on trailer also). He gets 9 mpg at 70 mph with 19k lbs loaded in mid west areas.

There are skirts coming on all our freight trailers. I really enjoy having them on the trailers and they do improve stability.

I don't know if it is true or not, I heard it also cools off the trailer brakes.
