The IR temp should reflect the thermostat temp(180-190*), if the thermo is stuck it would be much hotter,
at the radiator, the outlet should be much cooler than inlet and mostly even across the tubes..

i use 50/50. I wouldnt dare to use water. sounds like it would cause too much damage compared to how much coolant costs -
You need to get an oil sample analyzed ASAP, any coolant in the oil will show.
also get the coolant tested for .exhaust gasses..
Coolant in the oil will destroy the bearings..

I checked for bubbles in a water bottle with coolant overflow tube submerged. and that tube was bubbling good. truck mpg is good 7+ mpg. Power ok. I've never driven C-13 before but feels no less powerful than detroit 60
I forgot to smell the bubbles, will have to do that soon. I smelled the coolant surge tank but all i smelled was the coolant smell (no exhaust but maybe it was masked by strong coolant smell). Also moisture coming from breather tube.

225 ppm thats a lot. Should should drop the pan snd pressure test where leak is coming from
