As far as your trans temps go, when was last time your fluid was changed? If it wad me I would just ad an external air trans cooler somewhere, disconnect the current tranny cooler lines and run new lines to the air cooler. Only because you dont know why those lines were cut.

I have a coolant liquid filler eaton transmission is it possible to change it to air coolant. I wonder if the it will get overheated since I am blocking the coolant liquid? Any suggestions
-
What happens if I eliminate the liquid coolant and change it to air . Will my Eaton fuller transmission get over heated
-
It's done all the time, no harm.

Thank you! So when I swap liquid to oil I wonder if the transmission would get overheated
-
Itll be fine........ depending on what your pulling and HP you can probably take it off all together.
Unless your grossed out at over 100,000 lbs or more with 550hp , just take it off.spsauerland Thanks this. -
I have 450hp usually grossed weight around 70,000.

I have a transmission with liquid coolant if I eliminate the liquid coolant can I put a bypass with oil coolant with the same transmission. Do you guys think the transmission would get overheated. Please help ?Thanks

I answered your question already.
With your HP and gross weights you dont need a cooler. Just take it off.
If your waiting for others to chime in and say the same thing , fair enough.BoxCarKidd and spsauerland Thank this. -
