So I bought a new tank from Ebay. Non-oem for about 140 us delivered. It lasted 5 months but started to leak about 1 gallon an hour. Luckily I was near Amarillo Tx and bought an OEM one from Bruckners at 411 plus tax. Seems like they only last 2 years max before they spring a leak.

Sounds like a Volvo issue. Look into a good sealer take tank off and seal it.
What happen to your stock tank?Trucking in Tennessee Thanks this. -
They crack just the same as the non oem ones.

The reason why plastic and rubber don't last long in these post emission newer trucks is because of high under the hood temperatures which heat soaks the parts.
If you're parked for the day or night and idling, or not idling, open your hood up and let all that hot air out that's trapped underneath the hood
My orginal plastic coolant tank lasted 17 years because I let the heat out after I'm done driving.
Your parts and your wallet will thank you later.Newto Trucking and sirjeff Thank this. -
I've been through 4 of these lousy tanks in 4 years. The last one I got from Volvo was a dud right out of the box and I sent it back for warranty.
It drives me nuts the cost of them, considering it's the same part for #### near everything Volvo and mack these days.
It's too bad there isn't a GOOD aftermarket solution (steel) for this part.stillwurkin and Socal Xpress Thank this. -
strange... my 1st tank lasted for 1.200.000 miles
